Problem is that the best employees will find other jobs and the ones that can’t stay. Not a great filter for a company that wants to stay successful

It’s gone up too much and am looking for general tips to bring it down a bit.

A $150 laptop that I learned to code on years ago. It got me out of minimum wage jobs and onto a real career.

I don’t have it anymore. It got stolen. Obviously have upgraded to something better.

In my yard it is a 8:1 ratio of forest:lawn. Only the lawn is raked which I feel like is a good balance. I use the leaves as compost for my garden.

My pets need somewhere to play. 🤷‍♂️

This is my favorite lemmy app. Simple and easy to use but lots of features. Good job!

Last year a plumber charged me about $300 to have a shut off valve replaced. Took him about an hour.

I think adding basic advice, “How do I apply for a credit card”, etc would be helpful and something that people can link back to in the future.

US is essentially just a compilation of 50 small countries that joined together to create a large military. Most laws are up to the states to enforce and create. Some states do a better job than others.
