As an enthusiast, I would never own a second hand Tesla. They have terrible build quality and you just see too many rollers (major power train or battery issues). 10 year old cars mechanically totaled is the opposite of an eco friendly vehicle.

I take the light rail into work from the suburbs of Seattle into downtown. Trains run every 7-8 minutes. They're expanding it in all directions now. Only downside is that a lot of homeless ride the train because it's cold as heck on the streets. That's a societal problem though, not an issue with the train.
Most people don't hate BMW's or their drivers, it's a joke that they're all stuck up a-holes. There's similar jokes for people driving Tesla's being oblivious (fascists too now lol), Nissan Altima drivers being incredibly reckless, Prius' for always going 15 under the limit in the passing lane, etc.

We need to form large groups of like minded individuals that have enough voting power to sway the parties. If a socialist gun club had 4 million members you'd have congresspeople and senators lining up for meetings like they do with the NRA or used to do with large unions.
We're all isolated now, therefore weak. The more groups we form the more we amplify our voices. Most of us are voting "anything but Republican" not for the change we actually desire.
