person I knew actually had self adjusting headlights, which somehow were damaged and would not adjust properly anymore. They drove around like that for years before retiring the vehicle.

Where was that? In Europe this should have been spotted during the mandatory inspection.

I’m using both iPhones and Android phones (vanilla and rooted), the only valid point you make is about using themes. I belong to to the 99,9% of users who don’t bother.

You forgot some important feature that Android phones have: They don’t pester you too much about privacy: they allow apps per default to use the GPS, message you, etc. Also they come with a lot of unneeded apps preinstalled, some of these being impossible to deinstall

In Germany even calling the the emergency numbers frivolously is a felony. An ambulance is for emergencies. if you call them because you don’t feel like taking a cab somebody else might die because the ambulance can’t reach them in time. That being said that conservative chud is still a fucking idiot.

ITT the church of nuclear energy strikes again.

Let's skip renewables, pretend there's enough fissionable material and start a straw man discussion about coal my brothers in nuclear. Atom.

  1. Just think about the logistics involved ensuring the correct airbag is slotted. You don’t want to be sued in the US because someone got hurt or killed because the airbag was not up to spec. The damage to the brand would be bad too. Any way, it’s not as simple as just plugging in one thing or the other.
  2. You could absolutely have the same wiring on both versions and just slot in different front ends (button/buttonless). I recall a couple of cases for that as well - e.g. wiring for a (DAB) antenna that is not in every version of the car or hard drives where the capacity is defined by the firmware (though having identical hardware)

Same here in Germany and I would assume it is pretty common.

“I wouldn't push her/him off the bed” means they’re fuckable in German.

Original: Ich würde sie/ihn nicht von der Bettkante schubsen.

Nah, I’d just prefer a Burka in their case.
