What's stopping you, and what can you do about it?

Downvotes are recorded locally on instances that support it. If you view blahaj communities on an instance that allows down votes you will see them but it will be a count of just users from that instance, rather than from all instances that support them. Downvotes do not federate unless the host instance supports them.

There are more negatives from downvotes than upsides. They are always used as a disagree button no matter how much you try to coach users not to.

He pled not guilty. You don't plead innocence in court.

He has to prove that he is not guilty of the case brought by the prosecution. That's what not guilty means. He only has to disprove the specifics of the case brought against him.

Its the procetutor's job to prove, it is the defendant's job to disprove.

Pleading not guilty is the right choice. Either his lawyers think he's not guilty, and this plea lets them beat the charges, or he is guilty and this plea delays the inevitable.

If he pled guilty that would skip the main part of the trial and go straight to sentencing. Pleading guilty is rarely a good idea unless you are making a deal for a reduced sentence.

no. that's thermodynamically impossible.

though it is true that fission and fusion are opposites, you cannot gain energy by fissing and fusing the same material. There's an inverted bell curve where medium sized elements are the lowest energy state. You can get energy by making atoms more medium, fusing the smallest atoms or fissing the biggest ones. Doing the opposite costs energy.

Me in most games, talking this person down results in less combat, which is more fun, so it is the right choice.

I got HRT through my doctor in the US. They gave me a big informed consent document with lots of details and warnings. A lot of the warnings are a bit fearmongery, like you might have a higher risk of this specific cancer, based on one small study decades ago.

Despite all that, there were only two things described as irreversible changes, breast growth, and infertility.

If you're an adult and no longer have an actively growing skeleton, and have taken precautions against the two above changes, you should be able to stop the HRT and go back if needed.

The changes are cumulative and gradual. You burn fat from everywhere, but deposit it based on your current hormones. With time fat will appear to migrate, and will migrate back if you stop the HRT.

Edit: specifying nationality is useful information when discussing supplied documentation.

If you look at the trans healthcare ban, for an example of how long lawsuits take. The executive order was signed on January 28th. 4 days after the executive order, Pflag's lawsuit filed their lawsuit in federal court. 5 days after the EO, they submitted the motion for a temporary restraining order. It wasn't until February 13th, a full 15 days since the filing of the EO that the judge ruled on the temporary restraining order blocking the EO from being in effect. There were a total of 15 days when that illegal order was enforceable before the courts went through the process of providing the quickest possible emergency remedy.

Even when going as fast as possible, and granting emergency relief, courts take long enough to cause real damage. 15 days to cause farmers these problems even if the spending freeze does eventually get blocked.

medication does work but only when administered. A pill or a shot does nothing until you take it, at which point its no longer external. Same can be said about nutrition.

Perhaps we shouldn't take life advice from screenshots of cowsay on the internet.
