Only if you act like one. You've got a great body, just make sure your mind and actions match! Learn to love yourself first, and others will follow.

They need an appropriate array of vitamins, nutrients, and calories to stay alive. The way they do this naturally is to eat meat, but it's not the meat specifically that they need.

Taurine and arginine are amino acids, building blocks for proteins, not proteins themselves. Animo acids are quite ubiquitous across life, not specific to any one type of life. eg Plants contain both taurine and arginine.

meat proteins

Proteins are chains of amino acids. There are probably proteins specific to animal muscle, but misguided legislation notwithstanding it's the amino acids that are nutritionally required, not any specific protein configuration of those animos, and you can get those from a massive array of non-animal sources.

Before I was vegan I had a girlfriend who wanted an "emotional support cat". I was uncomfortable with the idea and resisted for a while but eventually we got a rescue cat. Then we broke up and I kept the cat. I love her and she's sleeping in her bed next to me on my desk as I type this. I'm one of probably hundreds of likely scenarios where a vegan ends up with a pet despite agreement with the ethical issues.

You know what's really conservative and "spooked"? Inturpretting a movement to respect the gender identity of other people as an attempt to control their speech.

Lol I edited my reply to add mention of the odd racial qualifiers just as you wrote the same. Microblog format seems to encourage weird and inaccurate racial group roundup phrases like that. Black american men absolutely do this shit too.

The phrases (And the totally unnecessary racial qualifiers) may be but I'm pretty sure men are conditioned to suppress their emotions anywhere there's patriarchy, which is most places these days.

How the hell have we not taken PGE public? What the hell is wrong with us, why do we tolerate this self-harm? Almost all other electric utilities on the west coast are public, what on god's green Earth is our malfunction? I hate on PGE like anyone else but at the end of the day this is our fault as Portlanders and Oregonians for not organizing and taking control of our essential services.
