Pretty sure I've seen shag carpet from the 70's in that exact shade.
It's a weirdly common color for interior paint jobs in old houses, too. Kitchens and things.
Also "salmon". I mean, who looks at the inside of a fish and thinks, "You know, that would really look great against some ultra white trim."
Personally, I think 'mauve' is worse.

You get shades of this as a Material You color theme in Android when setting your background to trees/greenery...
Has puke ever been that color outside of cartoons?
Maybe if you eat an excessive amount of pea soup before you get sick.
Acid yellow is a close second if not tie.
