Won't the Kid Rock & Ye catalogues suffice?

Sorry, but you just don't get how they have to also play titanic songs without permission to really emphasize their campaign's direction

(Wonder if Celine Dion will sue too)

[-] treefrog@lemm.ee 15 points 2 months ago

I believe I read that she is.

[-] shininghero@pawb.social 5 points 2 months ago

I kinda hope that Trump's campaign keeps using it, not because they'll invariably get sued, but because Celine could then pull the most supremely delicious piece of irony ever...
And play the fail recorder version as he's being escorted out for transport to prison.

“I can smell a pig from a mile away” doesn’t really go over well with the back the blue crowd.

[-] vegeta@lemmy.world 54 points 2 months ago

Ooooo, suck on my chocolate salty balls, put 'em in your mouth. Put 'em in your mouth and suck 'em and suck 'em...

[-] ShareMySims@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 months ago

It's been decades since the phrase "high in fibre" crossed my mind without me autocompleting it with "so suck on my balls" in tune.. 😂

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 7 points 2 months ago

I love your chocolate salty balls, Chef.

I can't help but feel that with the direction he was going, Mr. Hayes would have wound up as a MAGA guy if he had survived to see it. I hope not, but I have been repeatedly disappointed by people ~~over the last nine years~~.

Issac was a Scientology nutter. He already had his cult. AFAIK, scientologists are not known for dual culting.

Scientology is rather jealously exclusive in their requirements.

Anyone know if they vote as a bloc?

Ask John Travolta to check the closet.

[-] Nougat@fedia.io 30 points 2 months ago

I wonder if his family is also Scientologists. You know how they have lawyers.

[-] magnetosphere@fedia.io 25 points 2 months ago

They’ll probably never see a cent if they win, but I hope they do anyway.

US courts are generally very willing to seize your assets or garnish your wages if you don't pay up for damages

In NY, they started getting seriously ready to sell his properties if he didn't pay up for his civil fraud penalty (he ended up finding a loan)

Unless you're rich, white, and far right.

Remember almost two years ago when we all celebrated Alex Jones having to pay almost a billion and a half to the Sandy Hook families?

He has yet to pay them a single cent

Sadly the money isn't being delivered to the plaintiffs because of appeals. But you know those escrow companies are happy to hold on to more of his wealth.

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

A loan for WAY, WAY less than what he was required to turn over.

Nobody would give him a loan for the full amount, so he was given a sweetheart deal so he wouldn't actually have to spend any of his own money on the appeals.

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 22 points 2 months ago

The song is Hold On, I’m Comin’ from 1966.

I don't think copyright should last that long but if it's what it takes to take down the Trump “empire”, whatever.

[-] foggy@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago

What band beyond kid rock imare they allowed to play lmao

[-] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 months ago

I think I bought one of those for a fileserver once.

[-] foggy@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

God damn.

Western Digital wtf are you waiting for?!

"And we are debuting our NAS line to compete with Synology. It will run our proprietary OS, "MONTERO".

"The first products we will debut under this OS will be the NAS X line. There will be the lil NAS X, with 16TB storage. There's the NAS X, with 32 TB, and lastly, the NAS illmatic, at 64 TB."

I'm sure there's a lot of county music performers who would love to have their drivel played at a Toupee rally.

[-] Telorand@reddthat.com 7 points 2 months ago

They have that awful Conservative rap guy. I dunno his name, because he's irrelevant outside that bubble of weirdos.

[-] ripcord@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago
[-] paf0@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Tom MacDonald?

I listen to a ton of rap and the Spotify algorithm used to try to push him on me. He was my first block.

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Most artists don't own the rights to their own music, and the record labels will let anyone use it.
