Summary

Donald Trump is reportedly considering Stephen Miller, known for his hardline immigration stance, as deputy chief of staff for policy.

Miller, a key architect of the previous administration’s “zero tolerance” policy and travel ban, has outlined plans for mass deportations, including staging grounds for removal flights and deploying the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump has also appointed former ICE director Thomas Homan to lead deportation efforts, emphasizing a strict approach to immigration as a central focus of his upcoming administration.

Miller has been a threat to the country for over a decade, literally pushing Nazi agendas around, and this move should be concerning to everyone.

People who voted for Trump lack the ability of foresight and can't be concerned until it directly affects them. Otherwise they don't care and will probably cheer as their neighbors get deported.

As if they are safe. Maybe someone should tell them that second and third generation immigrants are probably "going home", too, depending on how Fourth Reich Miller wants to be.

I know several people who voted for Trump who had never even heard of this guy.

A simple glance at his face tells you all you need to know. He has the Goebbels "I got bullied as a kid and can't want to get my revenge" empty stare.

Don't worry, I was assured everything would just be the same as it always was and I was fearmongering.

I'm really enjoying all the people on Lemmy telling me that I don't need to take my daughter overseas to a country in the process of outlawing conversion therapy because she'll probably be fine here what with Trump not being that bad last time before he controlled all three branches of government.
