its so cute
It is!
Like, this is what baby trucks look like before they grow up :)
I'd end up pulling it too far back and it would snap.
It's absurd and hilarious and I love it.
But is it just a stock Tacoma with big wheels or did they do more body mods to it? It looks way smaller than even older style trucks like the bed was shortened or something but that could just be an illusion due to the size of the wheels.
Say what you will. Make the wheels smaller and you have a pretty useful tuck if you're in the city.
I unironically love it.
Same and I have no interest in a truck. It just looks so functional and useful.
That's got to be like a 3 foot bed? I just don't get how that's useful vs a hatchback with the seats down?
Completely open top, much less restriction on what you can put in. Hatchbacks can't do that. It's just a large trunk. Presumably can also sustain heavier loads.
I'm now imagining a bundle of 2x4s vertically sticking up 6 feet.
I think I've only once or twice had something not fit the hatchback because the roof was too low. And those items wouldn't have fit in a 3-4 foot bed either. Plus a proper hatchback should have roof racks to put oversize cargo on anyway.
I'm not arguing a 5+ foot bed isn't better than a hatch (my 97 Taco with 6 foot bed comes in handy sometimes), but the shorty beds make me laugh.
I should probably have mentioned at some point that I work in film production, so the possibilities with a vehicle like this for me are endless lol Especially given how small it is compared to your standard pick up truck in the US. Can squeeze this thing holding a lot of weirdly shaped shit into a lot of places.
Furniture and other large objects won't fit into a hatchback
Being able to load dirt or yard waste is a biggie. You can hose it out when you’re done.
That said a trailer hitch on a hatchback gets you more versatility than this.
A stump truck
Gotta admit, though, it looks like some nice bodywork. ATBGE
I don’t hate it….in fact I kinda like it
This looks like the truck equivalent of a really short guy with huge muscles and a perpetual scowl, who always keeps his shoulders directly above his knees and his hands in karate-chop pose while he walks.
You know, it absolutely does. It does look like him..
Steal a manhole cover, paint it to look like a penny.
I just realized that I had to think for a while about what a penny looks like. God we banned them here in Canada so long ago...
And I'm so happy we got rid of them.
You sound like someone who hasn't seen the glorious ATF violation know as penny coin shot.
Two patents exist for quarter-shooting pistols designed for shooting coins at toll booth baskets from 1965 and 1988. Source: wikipedia.
This is the world AnCap libertarians want.
Oh no I was referring to cutting pennies into halves and quarters, then putting them into 12 gauge shells.
I want to pull it backwards until it disappears
This is unironically awesome. Needs a bigger lift to give room for suspension travel though
That thing has to turn weirdly.
Mmm why?
Looks like if you accelerate too quickly it will do a backflip.
Probably turns on a dime and crawl and fit around hazards offroad like a champ
Fun fact, if you take the pullback wheel thing out of a toy car, wind it up and let it go, it jumps around all over the place. When I was a kid in the 80s we called them "crazy wheels."
I'll bet this little stub truck does the same thing lol
Look at the DUMPY on that thing
World's biggest RC car.
A monster truck the size of a minivan
Truck equivalents of the Airbus A318 babybus aren't real, they can't hurt you
Truck equivalent of the Airbus A318 babybus:
Lil, I was just wondering today if something like this existed. A truck with the small two-seat cab and a bed that matches today's truck aspect ratios.
Mileage... 3 Mpg...yes
