If he's carrying a copy of the epstein files the FBI will never find him.

[–] bytesonbike@discuss.online 11 points 1 day ago

There was a meme like this, where the guy was covered in Epstein's files and was invisible to cops.

[–] awesomesauce309@midwest.social 116 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They pinned medals on my grandfather for putting nazis out of their misery. What will they do for this young man?

Death penalty.

[–] ccunning@lemmy.world 135 points 1 day ago

"There is one person responsible for what happened here and that person is now in custody and will be charged soon and will be held accountable," he adds

I’m totally expecting a fair trial now.
What a relief…

Now comes the question of how much do you trust the three letter agencies run by a admitted partisan and law enforcement that has fumbled and spread misinformation throughout the investigation.

It may be that his father turned him in and other sources has his father as a cop and mormon minister. Would explain his shooting skills and ability to evade law enforcement.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 68 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Wtf was he thinking, telling his cop dad? What an idiot.

[–] Evotech@lemmy.world 69 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Kirk's body wasn't even cold before people knew the death penalty was locked in. Your Dad might recognize you but what sick fuck says "yeah, go ahead and execute my kid; here ya go" ?

Guilt? Normal human emotions after killing something? Mental instability? Wanted to be a martyr?

Who the hell knows at this point.

[–] FenderStratocaster@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (6 children)

I think maybe he wasn't exactly mentally stable.

If you read this, you are gay LMAO

[–] Gork@sopuli.xyz 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The New York Times then went on to define LMAO for people who have been living in a cave for the past few decades.

The markings on the bullets described by authorities indicate that the suspect, Tyler Robinson, was steeped in online culture and included references to the Antifa , or the anti-fascist, movement.

A fired shell casing was inscribed with “notices bulges OwO what’s this?” - a reference to a “copypasta” - a piece of text that is repeated over and over again, often to troll people online.

Authorities say one unfired casing had the words “Hey fascist! Catch!” and three down arrows - a common symbol used to represent the anti-fascist movement.

A second casing had the lyrics to a song “Bella Ciao” inscribed on it. The song honours WWII-era partisans of the Italian resistance who fought Nazi Germany.

The third unfired casing was inscribed with the words “If you read this, you are gay lmao” - again an apparent reference to online trolling humour.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 51 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

From another source about the arrows:

Law enforcement officials revealed that Robinson inscribed the sequence up arrow, right arrow, down arrow, down arrow, down arrow on casings, which may be a reference to the co-op shooter Helldivers 2. In the game, the code triggers a 500KG bomb, one of the most destructive stratagems available to players.

So you know that RF Brain worm Jr is going to have a field day with this true or not.

holy fucking shit unimaginably based

Theres some steep stupidity in them seeing the bullet that used gay as a slur, and interpreting that as being related to transgenderism

Kash Patel talking about how the FBI and the federal government drove this thing to completion, but, although he perpetually looks as if he has, that dumb fucker clearly couldn't drive his thumb up his arse.

This administration is a joke.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 32 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (6 children)

What kind of horrible parent turns their kid in during THIS administration. The ignorant fools have probably gotten their own son killed.

They’re all fucking mentally ill.

[–] Shave_MyBeever@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

But they don't turn in child predators, rapists, or those who dish out domestic violence 🙄

[–] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 7 points 23 hours ago

They even pass laws to protect the ones that confess to their cult leaders

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

That's a feature.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

Horrible parents, you answered your own question.

They're just awful people, who reproduced.

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

President and governor are calling for the death penalty, but you turn your kid in?

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 5 points 22 hours ago

How else will he learn his lesson?? BTW the parents were registered Republicans.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (6 children)

We still have no freaking idea.

And because he's not a trans antifa with blue hair, we likely won't.

I'm beginning to suspect the angry, insecure, tribalist, gun-loving demographic might be more prone to violence.

[–] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Nah, this kid was from a traditional angry insecure tribalist gun-loving demographic but he was radicalized online by the vile and evil leftists. We must crack down on antifa and woke ideologies by punishing social media that exposes our precious freedom loving children.

/s

But in all seriousness I’m kinda low key worried he will be from a conservative family who realized there is a lot of bullshit and started aligning with the left. Because that will be a dog whistle for loyalists to kill freedom of speech online.

He likely is.

The Daily Mail is normally a worthless heap of right-wing garbage, but they turned out to be somewhat informative (and with zero journalistic ethics) by posting family photos of the suspect: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15086467/amp/Tyler-Robinson-Charlie-Kirk-killer-identified-Utah-Trump.html

  • One of those photos is Robinson smiling while wearing a Trump costume for Halloween.

  • The family is also religious, evidenced by the dad had him go to a minister before turning himself in.

  • Both parents are registered Republicans.
