It's really good and a tough challenge. The endgame stuff cranks it up even further.

If you like all the parts of Hollow Knight - the exploration, the tough combat, the extended parkour sessions - and you enjoyed the DLC, Silksong is what you need.

If you're easily frustrated, don't like precision inputs, tend to think that games are cheating, or think you're gonna get through every boss with the same loadout without thinking about how you're actually going to beat them, Silksong is not for you

If you enjoy pain, you will love this game.

Absolute banger. The new diagonal down air doesn't hit the same for me as the OG hollowknight dair but im about 15 hours in so far and thats my only complaint

It's super fun, but pretty punishingly difficult (or I'm just bad)

It's also absolutely gorgeous, each room is like four paintings stacked on top of each other, it's awesome. The movement abilities you get seem really cool so far, you're much more nimble than you were in hollow knight. The world is pretty massive too, you definitely get your money's worth and then some with it.

As someone who bounced off Hollow Knight multiple times, I'm glad that those who loved it finally got their sequel at a very fair price...

And I'm also glad it's too damned hard. Haha, fuckers.

Love it, I'm almost done with the second act, the movement and controls are remarkably tight, the bosses are so well designed it's crazy. The graphics are ethereal and beautiful. It's a lovely, challenging, fun, quirky, cute, excellent game that is probably my favorite game since the latest Zelda.

The characters have so many unique and cute dialogs, there's a pilgrim that recurs a bunch that sings and plays her little bell and it's just lovely.

It's clearly a love letter to the genre, definitely one of the best metroidvania games ever made.

LOVE IT. It doesn't have the slog i experienced in hollow knight but maybe because i'm already know what they have in store. The movement is a bit much(sprint, jump, downward slash, dash, float?) for me but i'm learning. Also i now understand what others mean by "hard", but i still think it's balanced. The enemy is more refined and have more attack patterns, some is harder to read because some stance is almost the same but it still avoidable.

Also i can now run away from some boss fight if i feel unprepared, which is refreshing. But the downside now is your drop didn't appear outside of the arena(i remember hollow knight did but not too sure), so sometime it's impossible to retrieve your drops without getting locked in the arena.

~~I think i'm still 10%-25% through the main story though.~~ still in act 1, forgot they have act now.

Also there's singing bug. I like singing bug. I hope singing bug doesn't go crazy like the last one.

It's definitely a big step up in difficulty compared to HK. It's beautiful and well designed, but I do wish there were some accessibility options available. The Linux version has some issues with controllers as well, unfortunately.

Absolutely wonderful, it's both a proper videogame and a work of art.
