Money is waffles so by the transitive property time is waffles too!
Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
$20? But I wanted a peanut.
And $20 can buy a lotta peanuts.
You mean you get peanuts if your customer's peen nuts?
Anyone can make money, but noo one can pee nuts!
Maybe someone with kidney stones?
“It’s just a waffle house jukebox, my brains are spinning around…”
Not a child of the south, but money does translate to waffles, so time must as well.
Or something like that.
Time is money, money is power, power is pizza, and pizza is knowledge, let's go!
Me after eating 20 pizzas:
let me put it this way: if you have money, time can be whatever you want it to be
A private mercenary army I can use to conquer my own kingdom.
And establish the eternal dynasty of the waffle.
...or buying a social media company and making ALL the shitposts.
Serious question? The principle is called "opportunity cost". Chilling out and touching grass is free - but you could also have spent that time working, producing stuff, learning or whatever. You have "lost out" on a potential benefit due to exactly how that time was spent.
Time can be used to purchase goods and services.
Explain how.
By offering your time to help make goods and provide services for a business in exchange for money.
Because you could use your time to work and make money. Labor is kind of selling your time to other entities and doing their stuff. And even an enterpreneur can use time to grow their business. Or capital alone regularly grows with interest or by investing it.
You could also use your time to make waffles. That'd be oddly specific, but even then you could sell those and you'd end up with money again... And exposing waffles to time just results in them growing mold.
Because capitalism.
Because waffles aren't making you any money. They're only making you full.
