My job interview last week was hilarously bad. This is the low salary, no negotiating! We work from home on the down low because overseas HQ does not approve, it's not in the company's culture. You will be the only person in your team for all of AU and NZ, anyone who can support you is located overseas. There's 4 (FOUR) rounds of interviews, so get ready! And don't mention WFH in the interview with overseas HQ because they'll get offended by the request. So many red flags, no wonder the job ad has been up / reposted for months.

I parked my car in a dubious spot at the station because I was about to miss the train and didn’t have time to circle around. It was one of those spots where either side has parked too close to the line. Why people don’t park properly? Anyway, I hope to get back before those cars have been moved. Made an excuse to not go office today and had such a good day. Mandatory Monday office days are evil. Can’t wait to be done with this job. After they essentially told me to look for another job, it’s been pretty awkward. I feel on the outer already, and being in the office just makes me sad that this job didn’t work out.

Now I’m trying to decide between another FT role or doing freelance work for a bit. Found a place who already want to sign me on as a contractor. I love the sound of freedom to work as I want, but letting go of guaranteed money, leave etc is very hard to do.

Looks like Victoria is the only state that might vote yes and even that’s not a given. I really thought this would be closer.

Took myself out to the city for a spot of shopping, ramen + beer for dins, then ice cream from Piccolina for dessert which was delicious. Down the laneway was a Pidapipo which had a nightclub line. I waited in no line for my ice cream. Is it that much better? I swear people see a line and think yep I need to go there.
