Despite a recent history of anti-transgender rhetoric, Robinson said he enjoyed watching transgender pornography, a review of archived messages found in which he also referred to himself as a “perv.”

LOLOLOL. I always assume those that are consumed by their hatred of trans to have some rather deep-seated issues of denial. It's just a matter of if/when we'll find the smoking gun...

Normal Americans just don't obsess over things like trans.

holy shit that was a ride. That poor man hates himself

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

The party of "personal responsibility", and of "freedom" and of "family values", everyone!

Good grief, what a fucking bunch of WEIRDOS.

[-] SeattleRain@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

So basically he's a political cuckold?

Republicans: Naziism was a left wing ideology! It means National Socialist Workers Party!!1!

Also Republicans: I'm a Nazi, all hail Trump!

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Also Republicans: fainting spells over statues of Confederates coming down.

Also Republicans: getting the vapors over learning that Nazis are the bad guys in video games.

Also Republicans: America should be a white xtian ethnostate

[-] Empricorn@feddit.nl 20 points 15 hours ago

GOP: "It's only political rhetoric and divisiveness to say that we're extremists and Nazis."

GOP politician and official nominee: "I'm a Nazi porn addict who thinks women shouldn't be allowed to vote."

This guy's career will end because he said the quiet part out loud...

[-] Suavevillain@lemmy.world 7 points 14 hours ago

"I'm a black nazi!" is crazy work. I read the other posts yeah that is him alright. I hope he loses.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

He apparently learned nothing from history. There used to be a "Jews for Hitler" group, too. Until there wasn't.

Why are people so worried about what people do in the sheets?

[-] OldWoodFrame@lemm.ee 12 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

Speaks to character, if you run as a "family values" candidate while cheating on your spouse. It's not inherently disqualifying, especially compared to self identifying as a Nazi, but it's not something that the press or the people should ignore.

"What people do in the sheets" rhetoric is for stuff like kinky sex or being gay...nobody should care if he likes getting pegged. Nobody should care if he has an open relationship. Nobody should care that he likes trans porn, which he said he does. The problem with cheating is the character concern of caring about your wants no matter who it hurts. That is a bad characteristic for a political leader.

[-] Kbobabob@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

Nobody should care if he has an open relationship.

And yet here we are. I understand the stigma with Ashley Madison. If it were tinder, Grindr, or any other hookup site that is not a "cheating" site would that be ok?

I don't think people would care about any of this nearly as much if he didn't represent a party that claims all of these things are 'ungodly', and the same party that negatively attributes this kind of behavior to the LGBTQ community, while actively trying to erase their existence. I think it's important that people call out the hypocrisy.

I don't think the app that he used really matters as far as the criticism goes, though if it was Grindr it would've been even more hurtful to his career, as most of the people who were going to vote for him would be extremely bigoted against that.

[-] OldWoodFrame@lemm.ee 6 points 10 hours ago

The sticky part is that the key difference between cheating and an open relationship is consent, so the app/site itself doesn't change anything, his partner's knowledge and acceptance of his use of the app/site does.

[-] EABOD25@lemm.ee 20 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

Because he's a hypocrite. His platform is on family values, but says things like "women who get abortions can't keep their skirts down". Even though his wife has had an abortion and now apparently either has cheated on his wife or prepared to. He can't keep it in his pants.

He referred to himself as a black nazi, and is into trans porn. That in itself isn't an issue, however he's a republican whom do not support trans rights

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

This.

So much this. Most normal people do not care what others do in the sheets. The qons, however, seem to keep themselves up at night in a fever sweat over what others do, and make that a primary plank of theirs. Normal people only care what these qons are doing in the sheets because these weird jackasses are shown to be hypocrites.

[-] EssentialNPC@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago

Because it is wrong.

I am not judging sexual practices. I am judging those who choose to betray their partner. Here is the person he is most committed to in this world, the person who expects undying loyalty in exchange for the same in return, and he is seemingly shitting all over that vow.

If you only care about practicality, then consider that one will not care for the people in general if they cannot care for those closer to them. Honesty and compassion mean nothing to this man.

[-] tetranomos@awful.systems 2 points 12 hours ago

he's no brian leiter.

[-] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 24 points 22 hours ago

It would take an epic fuckton of time and money to create an elaborate fake connection that CNN found here.

Archived website data, publicly available information, and the clear lack of self awareness really make it hard for him to deny.

What I don't understand is where he could have developed these ideas from. Like Uncle Ruckus would be proud of him

[-] nkat2112@sh.itjust.works 123 points 1 day ago

It seems CNN did excellent research in tying Mark Robinson to minisoldr.

And this article is very revealing, and shows how gross, sick this individual is. There's something really wrong with him.

The article is disturbing - and it's worth noting that CNN has withheld more evidence that is evidently much more disturbing. Goodness....

[-] JustZ@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Why would they withhold anything?

[-] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 2 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

They allude in the article it's because it was too fucking gross to publish

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Still, they should probably publish it on some leaks outlet. They don't have to publish every detail on their articles, but still, they should probably provide a way for others to read it if they so wish.

[-] JustZ@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

I saw that. I guess it would just be gratuitous.

[-] silence7@slrpnk.net 65 points 1 day ago

Yep.

If he had something like a normal healthy interest in sex, even with a bit of a kink, nobody would care.

Announcing that you're a Nazi and pro-slavery is the problem here.

Why are they all like this?

[-] celsiustimeline@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 16 hours ago

Crabs in the bucket. They're willing to do or say literally anything if it means one iota of power or 10k extra in their checking account.

[-] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 11 hours ago

10k? What kinda bougie-ass politicians you got? All the ones around me are cheap.

[-] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

I mean that's true but I meant the perverted nazi part
