Article doesn’t even say what the data shows. Did it go from 1000 cars per month to 1001 cars per month? Did it go from 10 cars per month to 1000 cars per month? Because some scenarios are more noteworthy than others.

Executive order to make it illegal to trade in or sell Teslas coming any minute.

Tesla investor calls for Elon Musk to step down as boss

"The company's reputation has just been destroyed by Elon Musk," he said.

[–] theangryseal@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And what’s funny is that if he does step down, the value will immediately plummet on the market. That investor doesn’t seem to realize that Tesla is an immensely overvalued company and Musk and his promises are why.

He’s been saying “full self driving next year” for over a decade now. For whatever reason, people trusted him for the longest time.

Also, people are boycotting because he owns a lot of stock, not because he's CEO. They want to hit him in the pocket. What this investor really wants is for Musk to digest his position, but there's no way he'll do that.

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Exactly. Digesting his position would be a hard pill to swallow for Musk.

[–] wewbull@feddit.uk 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oops. I meant divest not digest.

Damn you autocorrect.

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

We all knew you meant divest, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from making a dumb pun :-)

[–] wewbull@feddit.uk 2 points 16 hours ago

I know. That's why I didn't spoil it by editing the mistake.

And then kill their charger standards. Fuck their licensing fees

[–] navi@lemmy.tespia.org 10 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Are you talking about the charging port (NACS)?

If so, it tells me you likely have never used an EV extensively in North America. CCS1 is complete ass and NACS rocks it in basically every way.

[–] chonkyninja@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And to be fair, last I checked there wasn’t any licensing fees.

[–] antimongo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yea I think within the last year or so the fee was removed.

[–] chonkyninja@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

No, that was almost a decade ago.

[–] lemming741@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's not the connector that's the problem with EA stations and the like, it's the total absence of maintenance. I for one appreciate CCS1 and J1772's simplicity of implementation. NACS was designed by a marketing team which means far more complexity behind the scenes. They've done well keeping their stations running but the pins and sockets only matter for the sales brochure.

[–] navi@lemmy.tespia.org 1 points 1 day ago

CCS1 is HUGE and heavy, already causing issues wearing out charge ports.

I'm sure people could imement it nicer but NACS' form factor is just plain better.

[–] notsoshaihulud@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Time to start calling it Fashla.

[–] 60d@lemmy.ca -3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think "Tesler" is pretty good already.

Rhymes with Esler, Georg Esler. Tried to assassinate Hitler.

[–] brrt@lemm.ee 5 points 1 day ago

It's called Swasticar for a reason ;)

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Seems to be only California Teslas for now.

It's annoying that it says "data from Edmunds published on Thursday" but doesn't link to the data.

This world wide web has gotten a lot less webby over time as each page tries its damnedest not to give you options to go anywhere else.
