Believable, but I would like a source.

https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/04/11/trump-head-lapel-pin/

Looks like it was one cabinet member, and probably not a requirement.

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 24 points 2 weeks ago

probably

Ass kissers will DEFINITELY wear them proudly.

Because, of course, screenshots are not journalism.

Just claims and rumours with no particular evidence as far as I can see. There's enough to hate about the man without resorting to misinformation :p

Everyone spotted wearing these should be noted and never allowed to hold office again (and preferably rot in a prison for life). This is gross.

[–] Wilco@lemm.ee 33 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Agreed. This is a traitors mark.
It's fucking biblical not to do this ... literally in the Bible as the mark of the beast.

[–] Adulated_Aspersion@lemmy.world 23 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Not true.

The mark is on the forehead. Like a red hat.

Revelation 13:16-17 [16]It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, [17]so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Revelation 9:20: "The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk."

The fundies must be wetting themselves with excitement, rapture any day now!

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

This is more like the Golden Calf. It’s straight up fat orange cow worship

[–] molten@lemmy.world 61 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Yo, please edit this post to specify that this isn't in any way confirmed. Don't need to be making me pull my hair out over one guy with a pin.

[–] potpotato@lemmy.world 54 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

Snopes: A White House official said via email: "Obviously, we did not order officials to wear this pin. If they choose to wear one, it is to show support for the greatest President in history." Brendan Carr, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair seen in photos wearing the golden Trump lapel pin, had not responded to requests for comment about why he wore the pin at the time of this writing.

Still pretty fucked.

[–] Kbobabob@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So it's more of a "It would be really nice if everyone could wear a pin" kind of thing.

Kind of like "Oh, won't someone rid me of..."

[–] FrChazzz@lemm.ee 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

See, Brian over there is wearing 37 pieces of flair. And a terrific smile.

If you see a government employee wearing one of these take their picture and report them for a Hatch Act violation

If someone had predicted this would happen, they'd have been called idiotic and ridiculous. The man is a cartoon villain

  • Must wear pin

  • Must recite MAGA pledge on command

  • Must not criticize Glorious Leader™

[–] Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world 45 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

What an ugly pin design. Luckily, I got a better one:

Round pin with red and blue edges, three white stars on top, three white stars on the bottom, the words “FUCK TRUMP” written in the middle.

Sad it's coming to this, but the flag pin was at one point or another leading to this kind of stuff. I wish this would have just led to bigger and bigger pins to show that people are more patriotic than their opponent.

Nationalism leads to cult of personality. Cult of personality leads to... ah shit I can't remember. Fashion I think?

I'm a little surprised he had his jowls and pig cheeks so aptly cast and I'm not surprised in the least every Republican will throw their American flags in whatever trash can he points to to suck his weird mushroom dick while wearing his ugly fucking face.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 26 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

He is a clinical narcissist. He does not have an objective sense of reality when it comes to himself. He genuinely thinks he is a strong athletic intimidating and beautiful person (jowls and all). He thinks he can out swim a female olympic swimmer, that he is smarter than PhD's and MD's, and that he has more political prowess than anyone in history. When he says he is the greatest president, the greatest golfer, the greatest.... whatever.... in history, he is not exaggerating for emphasis. He is deluded and actually believes it.

It's Monday morning. I am trying to prepare for the week, and I see this. Hoping iot's a joke, I check other sources. Of course it's a real thing.

I say, that 2cm hole from the gun shot healed up fantastically!!
I mean it's almost as if it never happe...no, what am I saying. It's not as if a tRUMPf would ever blatantly lie.

No, I'm absolutely sure that it definitely wasn't just an ikkle tiny (like his hands) cut that happened when the bullet wisped inches away from his stunningly thin skin rupturing it. No, it positively ripped his ear to pieces and the best, most tremendous, beautiful, tremendous, perfect surgeons put him all back together again like fucking Humpty Bastard Dumpty could only wish for. Yes, that's it!!

Also, he's a diseased cunt.

Had someone brag about one of these hideous things at work, shortly after election. He was so excited to show it off. Haven't seen him or his ugly gold lump since then.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

You think it's gold?

Anyhow, it's jarring to meet such people IRL. I don't live in the USA (I guess I'd be constantly jarred if I did) but even so I had a Trumpist coworker once - it was jarring.

I couldn't find any sources but I recall Biden forgot to wear an American flag pin and right wing media lost it.

[–] treadful@lemmy.zip 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Bunch of wimps won't even wear arm bands.

Just the fact that I saw this, and it surprised me not at all, is a huge red flag. I totally understand that it's been (at least mostly) disproven, and it was likely just one asshat in his cabinet doing it for the sake of making sure their nose was lodged just as far as humanly possible into Trump's ass.

I would, just once, like to see something like this and be able to assume it's from the onion. Instead, every time I see something like this, I have to check, because as ridiculous as it is, it's well within the new standard for POTUS.

Definitely not concerning to put a persona above the country. If only there was a term for an exaggerated form of admiration and reverence directed towards a political leader, often cultivated through propaganda and media manipulation.

I exploit you, still you love me I tell you one and one makes three

If this was a Dem the crazies on the right would be frothing at the mouths screaming about "the mark of the beast" or whatever....well they're frothing at the mouth either way.

Soon people outside the cabinet will be required to wear them. All the gov agencies, public servants, ultimately military, etc.
No pin, no "due process".

[–] WhatYouNeed@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And certain people will have to wear an icon on their clothes. Jews have to wear a yellow star, gays a pink triangle, etc
