During a call with investors Tuesday, Musk blamed “paid” and “very organized” protesters for his electric company’s remarkably weak earnings so far in 2025.

Dipshit immigrant buys a presidency and then cries about "paid" protests.

Loooooooooser.

[–] urandom@lemmy.world 12 points 43 minutes ago (1 children)

Paid by who?

Paid by who, you little dust bowl

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 1 points 6 minutes ago

George Soros, obviously. He's their favorite rich bogeyman.

[–] mooncake@lemm.ee 6 points 39 minutes ago

That's rich coming from someone that bought Trump the election.

[–] skuzz@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 18 minutes ago

So, like the usual double-speak rhetoric from this party, just gotta invert what he says:

Elmo Muskrat pays for protestors, and is sad that his paid protestors aren't as effective as real ones.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 1 points 7 minutes ago

He still can't understand that people actually hate him.

[–] Unlocalhost@lemmy.world 12 points 3 hours ago

Who the fuck has all this money to pay for protesters?

Wait it must be the same people who can afford to give away drugs in Halloween candy....

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 18 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Describing the left as "very organized" is the funniest thing I've read all year.

That should have investors chomping at the bit to have him replaced.

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 7 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

"They all showed up at around the same time." = "very organized" :D

[–] xor@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 39 minutes ago

that’s much more organized than any leftist group i’ve ever seen

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 hours ago

compared to KetaMusk that's probably impressive

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 7 points 3 hours ago

How dare you use our tactics against us.

This is the same guy who wanted to buy votes?

[–] P1k1e@lemmy.world 8 points 4 hours ago

Pretty crazy how the richest man alive can't out pay the protestors current employers. So even in his narrative, he still ain't paying people.for.shit

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 7 points 5 hours ago

I can get paid to tel Elmo henvan gonfuxk himself?

Why did nobody tell me?

[–] ABetterTomorrow@lemm.ee 16 points 6 hours ago

Than stop paying for people to show up on your side and then you won’t have a problem. The people against you are doing it for free.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 19 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

The richest guy in the world, and he is so horny for any love and respect that the smell of desperation fills any room he is in. You can even see it anytime he makes a media appearance. The guy actually exudes a breath-taking level of anti-charisma. He's truly revolting to anyone who sees him.

All that money, and he has to rent wombs to manufature his DNA Storage Units/ Organ Donors/ Human Shields because no woman will go near him. I've heard his dick doesn't work anyway, due to a botched wiener enlargement surgery.

So he thinks the gamers are his peeps, and they'll love him, right? Nah, all those great toys, and still none of the neighborhood kids want to play with him, because he's so fucking wierd.

It fills me with such glorious schadenfreude to see him demonstrating in real time, the old saying "Money can't buy happiness."

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 hours ago

Yup. Richest guy in the world also wants to be the most popular and loved too. He could have easily continued that image by not actively damaging his "brand" for no reason with his immature outbursts. He also could have given money to those that needed it, not going to happy as it seems those were never apart of his core values. He loves pretending that they are though.

There was a post yesterday or so that he was extremely depressed after getting booed on stage with Dave Chappelle. That made me quite happy.

[–] The_Caretaker@lemm.ee 54 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

If President Musk would be so kind as to post a link to the website or app where I can sign up to get paid for displaying leftist views and hating on oligarchs, I would really appreciate it. I could use some duckets.

[–] raltoid@lemmy.world 14 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (2 children)

For future reference, it's ducats.

Ducat was a "trade coin"(not usually a legal/single state currency) that started in the late 1200s Italy, and was still used by Austra in the early 1900s.

[–] Treetrimmer@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 hours ago

Wow, I've never heard of Austra before

[–] vvvvv@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

I thought it's something to do with ducks at first.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 5 points 6 hours ago

Exactly, I'm ethusiastically trashing him on a daily basis for free, I'd LOVE to get paid for it. I'd be so good at it, I'd probably get promoted.

[–] frezik@midwest.social 23 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

These guys can't even come up with an original excuse.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 9 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

Surprised he didn't invoke George Soros.

[–] LavaPlanet@lemm.ee 20 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

Who's paying them? Genuinely, who, in his grandiose delusions, wants his demise and is paying people to protest, just to lower his stock prices. Who does he actually think is "out to get him".

[–] TheRealKuni@midwest.social 19 points 7 hours ago

George Soros, maybe?

Just remember, every accusation is a confession. Musk pays protestors, so he believes others do as well.

[–] kyle@lemm.ee 3 points 6 hours ago

Yeah and how do I sign up

[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Not everything can be bought buddy.

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

We need to be paid to afford the tariff/national sale tax.

[–] HailSeitan@lemmy.world 20 points 8 hours ago

Sounds to me like he’s lying to investors about the true nature of a risk to the company

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

The only money involved for the protesters was what they are going to lose because of this f-ed up governments policies.

No need to pay anyone who does protest out of sheer pain.

[–] Gregg@lemm.ee 25 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

He’s conflating paid and organized in an attempt to make them synonymous. Basically, anyone you ever see holding a sign is just an actor and their message is not worth acknowledgement. Don’t think too hard about how much you’re getting utterly fucked, Billy. That’s what a “globalist” would do!

[–] dustyData@lemmy.world 15 points 8 hours ago

Classic, straight out of the fascists playbook. Everyone who supports the fash is grassroots movement, everyone who opposes fascism is a paid shill from the scapegoat du jour.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 19 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Just hire counterprotestors? You have the scratch. Show us how logistically plausible it is to hire an enormous group of people to congregate and chant your ideas.

Are these day gigs or are these kind of jobs something i need a resume for?

[–] j0ester@lemmy.world 16 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

You guys are getting paid?

[–] Kushan@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

I'm getting paid. Not with money, but pure schadenfreude.

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 64 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (3 children)

His narcissism won't let him admit that no one likes him. He's a Prince, his mother told him so.

[–] Nikelui@piefed.social 2 points 4 hours ago

His mother also deprived us of the best MMA match of the century (Elon vs Zuck)

[–] dexa_scantron@lemmy.world 39 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I think he also genuinely can't comprehend anyone doing anything that isn't for personal gain.

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 40 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (3 children)

This.

I usually don't watch YouTube celebrities, but recently I watch the Vaush guy state what I've known for a while in my 53 years on the planet:

Some people truly can't understand why anyone would do anything without some kind of compensation. They think it's stupid, and anyone who does anything without expecting something in return is stupid, and deserves to be taken advantage of. And they don't feel bad about it. It's the "Natural Order." Winners win, and losers lose. Any instance of "Altruism" is just "Virtue Signaling," done for attention and to influence others to their advantage.

Everything is transactional, and everyone who is not useful is expendable. To them, "empathy" truly is weakness.

Nobody has to pay me to hate you, you fucking fascist loser. I do it pro bono.

[–] Sludgehammer@lemmy.world 98 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

So... given the "Every accusation is a confession" rule, what protests do you think he's funded?
