wtf USAA… you were a sponsor?!

Time to find a better bank or better yet, a credit union.

The bank that exclusively deals with members of the US armed forces? You’re surprised that they donated to a conservative?

This image is already cooked but check the scoreboard and tuba in the crowd. Doesn’t make sense this was taken today at all.

We’re just as gullible as the rest of the internet 🫡

I'm pretty sure they just happen to be a sponsor at that particular sporting arena. If they had this at the KFC Center it didn't meant the Colonel like fascism.

Probably does to be clear, but it's unrelated.

~~Charlie Kirk~~ memorial showing a ~~Palantir~~ ad

This is already pretty fucking dystopian by itself, tbh

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 41 points 1 week ago

Palantir is so good at predicting the future, that they effectively stopped Kirk from being murdered….oh.

This was at a sports game months ago. You can see the scoreboard up top

It's a picture that was probably taken at the Army-Navy game. I couldn't find the exact angle but this is what the screen and the surrounding architecture of the Northwest stadium looks like: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:FedEx_Field_Faith_Leaders_-_51176378567.jpg Very similar to the screen capture.

The Charlie Kirk memorial however was held at State Farm stadium which has screens looking like this: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fiesta_Bowl_2019_Stadium.jpg and this: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bell_Bank_partners_with_AZ_Cardinals.jpg

I thought Musk only reunited with Trump today.

So these Palantir ads… what audience are they targeting? This must be a non-standard awareness campaign.

It’s not like Blackwater or other similar companies have advertised, right? It’s like they want us to know we are being monitored. They want us curious about what it is.

Anyone who buys their services does not need to discover them in this way.

Share price probably

Companies close to trump are likely to get preferential treatment

Investors typically try to invest in companies they expect to grow in value. Many of them (particularly institutional investors) do not care what the company they're investing in does, they just care that the line goes up after they buy and before they sell.

Investors buying shares all at once push the asset price up

My theory, these kinds of companies put their logo next to trump in the hope it triggers a spike in investment and therefore a boost to their share value.

That in addition to the old classic, if they get something like an ad spot for their bribe, it becomes just a business transaction.

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

[–] FerretyFever0@fedia.io 8 points 1 week ago

Fitting memorial.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

He would have wanted his memorial to have shitty ads.

Inviting the grim reaper himself to a memorial seems tasteless, but what do I know about product placement

[–] FerretyFever0@fedia.io 4 points 1 week ago

Fitting memorial.

JD Vance has a look that says "couches don't need consent".
