I feel this. There are a lot of companies trying to be a tech company that don't understand what it means to be a tech company. IT and devops get particularly shafted - if everything is running fine it gives the appearance that they aren't needed when in reality it takes a load of work to keep things running smoothly. In addition they are massive cost centers and don't actually make money, so they are first on the chopping block. Every company I've worked at has had a severely understaffed IT/devops team.

No shit. We built our economy to get as much as possible from as little as possible. Companies have no incentive to lay proper groundwork if it isnt profitable for them in the short term. Future-proofing is a term that means "wasting money on something that may not happen."

Our economy will never win. We will never be ahead in anything, because to our capitalist pigs in power, being ahead means losing.

Take it up with the law, because if I don't take those vacation days you will end up paying more for it.

HR already doesn't do their jobs. They really want to use AI to make themselves completely obsolete, huh?

Weed smokers, vapers, and smokers in general are some of the most self-centered people I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. They think their smoke doesn't affect anyone else and fail to understand that some people find the smell nauseating. They then proceed to litter everywhere and make their smoking everyone else's problem.

There are obviously exceptions to the rule, but they are far and few between.

Do not stay home. Never stay home. At least vote independent to make your voice heard. People will absolutely look at the third party votes, and if that percentage is rising it is going to scare the shit out of the primary parties.

I said one of the reasons. I didn't say the only reason.

This is the efficiency and professionalism of corporate America. Lack of trust in employees is one of the driving forces behind the RTO mandate. Even if employees are more productive at home they must return to the office.

As scummy as all of this is, it is a real problem that most medical services and offices do not have traditional payment plans. They expect the large amount to be paid all at once.

I'm going in today to get an eval for wisdom teeth removal. I have 8 of them. Safe to say I want to be knocked completely out when they remove them. Just getting a cavity filled under local anesthesia was awful enough - I refuse to be conscious when they are ripping teeth out.

There is never a reason to put weight on somebody else's neck. Ever.
