Reality has a well known liberal bias.

[-] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 22 points 1 month ago

Is that bcz of empathy? Normal people have it, and the rich don't, and their idiot followers aren't smart enough to realize they're being manipulate?

[-] Moobythegoldensock@lemm.ee 33 points 1 month ago

It’s because modern conservatives are less concerned about facts.

Republicans claim climate change is a hoax; the reality is that climate change is already causing measurable damage around the planet.

Republicans claim Haitian immigrants are eating dogs and cats; the reality is they aren’t.

Republicans claim Democrats want to abort newborn infants. The reality is this is illegal everywhere.

Republicans claim illegal immigration and crime area crisis. Reality is the numbers are actually trending down.

Republicans claim supply side economics worse. Reality is that supply side economics does not work and Democratic presidents perform better on every economic measure.

Republicans have recently claimed that schools are doing trans surgeries on kids without their parents’ permission and immigrants have a direct phone line to Kamala Harris in exchange for illegal votes. Reality is that those are too stupid to garner a serious response.

So yeah, reality happens to have a liberal bias when conservatives are trying to out-stupid each other.

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 26 points 1 month ago

It’s because liberals/leftists are more likely to actually account for reality in policy

[-] czech@lemm.ee 8 points 1 month ago

Policies based on their feelings instead of facts.

[-] Valmond@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

The rich might have empathy abd a poor might not. Those without empathy and are rich/powerful becomes the worst though as they don't feel fear or anxiety and has no feelings for fellow humans.

That's why they try and verbally violate it every fucking time

38 days until we no longer have to read about every brain fart that dribbles out of this asshole's face.

Vote people.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 32 points 1 month ago

Just wait - starting 39 days from now we get to speculate if the election results will actually be obeyed or not.

And that fucker will never stop being in the news - his family has a death grip over the GOP.

[-] BassTurd@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

I think most of the GOP are over him. He's not been useful for any of them for a hot minute now. I think if he loses, they drop him as fast as they can.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 month ago

Trump appointed a family member as the GOP chair and it looks like Baron is being setup to get another nepotism appointment. That fucking rot goes deep.

I don't disagree that most GOP politicians want him gone - I don't think he's ever been popular with senators or house reps... but everyone still in an elected position is either a true believer or someone who knows to keep their mouth shut - the fucking voting base is insane. As a parallel I'd point to our unfortunate BC provincial politics where a party attached the conservative label to themselves and jumped from 0 to like 40% of the expected vote share overnight.

Conservatives are fucking crazy and do not give a shit who their actual reps are - they're entirely identity based voters.

[-] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

If they didn't drop him when he lost in 2020, what will be different this time around?

[-] BassTurd@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

He's 4 years older now and if he loses, add another 4 years into a now two time loser. His value is gone with a loss imo.

[-] Tyfud@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

He's going to tank everyone down ballot. If everyone gets out and votes, the hope is this will be a landslide victory and the GOP will be punished for following trump in every election up for grabs this year. Including local elections

[-] CaptainSpaceman@lemmy.world 28 points 1 month ago

Im not as hopeful as you are.

For one, the media will run his bullshit "stolen election" garbage for as long as they can.

For two, unless Harris has a blowout victory, I fully expect trumps cronies around the nation to skew and stall results to his favor creating a legal challenelge of epic proportions not seen since Hangin' Chad.

[-] CheeryLBottom@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Anything which does not overtly favor Trump will be labeled as biased.

This is item 1 in the Goebbels' playbook.

[-] Makeitstop@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

So, what I'm getting from this is that Trump's campaign doesn't have anyone that knows a goddamn thing about SEO. And that apparently it's election interference for Google to prioritize real news sources over right wing propaganda outlets.

But this is also another good reminder that Trump views government authority as something that he should be able to wield without restraint. If he gets back into office he'll use the justice department, the IRS, and any other federal agency he's aware of as weapons to punish those who displease him. Doesn't matter what the law says about any of this, his bullying will cost people one way or another, and all while he can't be touched because as president he will be above the law.

[-] Rapidcreek@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

Translates to: "An incredibly bad story about me is going to break real soon!"

[-] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

Really, Don? This is your big play for the news coverage this weekend? Weak.

[-] BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 month ago

Why don't he just launch TruthSearch instead of whining.

[-] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 9 points 1 month ago

Because IT people are smart enough to ask for payment up front.

[-] AlecSadler@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

brb launching truth search and donating all the funds to the opposing candidate(s)

[-] octopus_ink@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 month ago

Remember, this is the shit he's trying to pull while not in a position of power.

[-] bazus1@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

If he’s in power, there will be no press release, just a hounds release.

"I HATE GOOGLE!"

[-] Leate_Wonceslace@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 month ago

Well it's a shame you don't have any authority, so you can't force people to go along with your unhinged demands.

[-] Soup@lemmy.cafe 9 points 1 month ago

He needs to be charged for frivolous accusations against everyone he’s ever done this to- until he’s a penniless sack of side-of-the-road trash.

[-] TommySoda@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I bet you $10 he didn't even read the study. This motherfucker literally googled himself and was mad at the results. And when he googled why it was happening he found the study and immediately went to post about it. And honestly, this is the kinda shit I imagine when people say "do your research." Two google searches while reading headlines and poof now they're an expert.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Oh, is poor Donny to poor to pay for SEO or paid ad placements anymore?

[-] bender223@lemmy.today 5 points 1 month ago
[-] pixxelkick@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

If you want to win an election, Google might be arguably the worst possible company to directly threaten, not gonna lie.

Pretty sure uf they wanted to, they could wbd your political career with any manner of ways.

I bet trump's Google search history would be devastating if they threatened him with releasing it to the public, lol.

[-] SelfProgrammed@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

This is the same basis that certain conservative Lemmy communities run on. "Since nobody is saying good things about us, we need a place to circlejerk so hard that people might respect us" but instead they put all their fish in one barrel for us.

[-] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 month ago

Damn it Google, how hard is it to spin Trump being liable for raping a woman, supporting a black nazi, supporting klan stories about eating pets, saying he will be a dictator,... (Got tired of typing). You know all the shit he does.

[-] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago
