"While Trump cuts programs you need to live, he's turning the White House into a car dealership to advertise his unelected shadow president's failing company," said one critic.

Going to be a problem if they tell bears...

[–] billiam0202@lemmy.world 32 points 6 days ago

You say problem, I say solution.

Or at least entertainment.

Quote by a forest ranger at Yosemite National Park on why it is hard to design the perfect garbage bin to keep bears from breaking into it:

"There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists."

And the smartest cybertruck owners are way worse then the tourists.

[–] pzzzt@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Orcas against yachts, raccoons against cybertrucks!

Blatant conflict of interest and corruption. Such a disgrace.

[–] GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 6 days ago

It's not though.

Elon even said if there was a conflict of interest, he'd decide whether to step back or not. Since he's there and involved, it's pretty obvious there's no conflict! Logic.

[–] clutchtwopointzero@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Those rules apply to everyone else, EXCEPT the president and congressmen

Like really, you have this guy who is pushing fossil fuels and fracking and has an agenda against cleaner energy options... but then goes and supports this dudes company... like if trump had morals he would be breaking all of them... but clearly he doesn't and I'm sure if you followed the money it would all make sense.

[–] betternotbigger@lemmy.world 86 points 6 days ago (1 children)

This is sooooo good. This is how you know it's working. This is how you vote with your dollar. Keep up the anti-consumption. Boycott the fuck out of these assholes. Life is more interesting not giving them a single cent.

If a bunch of conservatives buy Teslas to own the libs and end up accelerating the decline of ICE vehicles that would be pretty funny.

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 13 points 6 days ago

Taking a loan to buy a tesla to then hide in the garage to own the libs.

[–] hansolo@lemm.ee 13 points 6 days ago

They do absolutely love an opportunity to be scammed of they think it's part of a culture war stand.

Maybe all the money they'll make on their Trump coin can pay for....oh, wait...

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It would definitely make this liberal cry from laughter.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 9 points 6 days ago

If it stops them from coal rolling...

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 20 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Oh this time they get him /s

[–] girthero@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I agree it may be futile, but whatever it takes to obstruct the damage he can do is helpful

Damn US is an actual embarrassment right now, whichever way you lean around the world, conservative or liberal.

[–] GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 6 days ago (1 children)

"Right now"..? Haven't been paying attention since 2015? Or 2001? Or 1980..?!

[–] Generic_Idiot@lemm.ee 3 points 5 days ago

Fair but those years wasn’t anymore than other countries…. Now it’s a standout.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 52 points 6 days ago

Corruption on full display. Aren't you tired, too?

[–] 108@lemmy.world 24 points 6 days ago

How far the WH has fallen. Oval Office as a prop for fucking GoYa beans before.

[–] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 45 points 6 days ago (2 children)

I am even more inspired to boycott!

[–] orbituary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Were you in a position to buy Tesla such that your boycott matters, or is this just defacto "not buying anyways?" Either way, good.

[–] assembly@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago (3 children)

I’m due for a new vehicle and likely would have just got a model X if Musk wasn’t Musk. So, I’m at least one lost sale. Likely going Rivian.

Would be a shame if stuff like this happened in front of the h0use in mlnecraft.

That would be very iIIegal and wrong. Don't do stuff like that!

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 6 days ago

Trump will do absolutely anything to stay in the news. We are his narcissistic supply. The solution is to ignore him completely.

[–] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

Sadly, while we should ignore him completely, he is too dangerous to do so now that he is puppet in chief. Maybe ignore this stunt, yes. But we still need to keep an eye on him so we know how and where to push back on.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 19 points 6 days ago

Not the first time tin cans are being promoted by the white house. Looks like it's getting to be a regular event.

[–] TheDeadlySquid@lemm.ee 12 points 5 days ago

Why does this photo make me laugh so hard? Oh yeah, it’s pathetic.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 27 points 6 days ago

Best politics money can buy.

[–] sepi@piefed.social 22 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Musk is very good at making things fucking worse through the power of extremely self-confident ignorance and stupidity

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago

Which only works out for those born into wealth.

[–] lupusblackfur@lemmy.world 21 points 6 days ago

"I think this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part."

😂 🤣

[–] MichaelHawkinSnider@lemmy.world 19 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Lmfaooooo, this fucking dolt has Biden living rent free in his head. Holy shit, we are fucked.

[–] My_IFAKs___gone@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

In his wilted psyche, he thinks he's still campaigning against Biden. Hasn't realized yet that Biden is no longer a threat to him. Eventually he'll be back to full-on Obamabashing.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

At least until he forgets Obama's name and just starts referring to him as "the n----r" in televised interviews

[–] Soulg@ani.social 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

And then his approval numbers go up because he "tells it like it is"

[–] nodiratime@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

The forcibly-coordinated media will say that the president "allegedly" used that word, and he didn't really mean it.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 6 days ago

How much did he charge us for this?

[–] theonlyk@linux.community 11 points 6 days ago

Starting to thing Tesla is this governments Brawndo, as we are watching the plot from Idiocracy play out.

[–] Dirtgrain@lemmy.world 16 points 6 days ago

"Drill, baby, drill . . ." and screw windmills--but buy a Tesla?

[–] thisphuckinguy@lemmy.world 12 points 6 days ago

Using the son as a meat shield. What a terrible human being.

[–] mister_flibble@lemm.ee 6 points 5 days ago

I see he still has his tactical toddler deployed
