The only logical approach here is to ban use the use of "Nicole" or "fediverse chick" across all instances and warn or ban anyone who upvotes posts that mention or vaguely allude to "her".

Well, I call her Fedi-Chica.
Those who weren't blessed by her aren't allowed to address her by her proper title.
A few years from now people will have nostalgia about these early fediverse days and the weird and lame stuff like "the fediverse chick"

I wanna see a full on Reddit-style investigation of the theory that it's not a scam, but a malicious bullying campaign against the human shown in the pictures. If Lemmy solves a mystery and stops a crime, we could become the new superpower social media. 😌

I wonder how they bother to change the photo with a very similar but almost identical one but always copy-paste the same text, isn't the opposite way easier?
It's a deanonymization attack. You know which users opened the message by seeing when the unique image URL was accessed.
